A nice treat to have on hand in the freezer when you want a little bit of Hawai'i in your belly. Our chicken thighs are marinated in shoyu glaze and them steamed slowly inside of a collard leaf - traditionally these are made with luau leaf (taro leaves) but since we are in Canada we are working with what we have and using amazing organic collards from Discovery Organics!
Simply defrost the chicken lau lau in the refridgerator the night before and reheat by steaming or microwaving until the interior temp is 165F. Goes great over rice, by itself with a little bit of soy sauce on top.
